The Department of Aviation offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including flight training and research supervision from the main UNSW campus in Sydney and Bankstown Airport. The Department seeks a new academic staff member to strengthen teaching at all levels, to conduct research at international standards and supervise research students.

Essential criteria: a PhD in a relevant field and successful research record applicable to any area of aviation safety (including human factors, psychology or ergonomics), publications in international refereed journals; excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to implement equity and diversity policies and programs; knowledge of OHS responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant OHS training.
Desirable criteria: knowledge of the aviation industry; knowledge of office and computer skills.

The salary range for Lecturer is $63,812 - $ 75,216 per year and for Senior Lecturer is $77,493 - $88,897 per year depending on qualifications and experience. This salary includes a superable UNSW
academic loading of $3,000 per annum payable to all academic staff (pro rata for fractional academic
staff).
Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment.
